On The Gold Front
July 25, 2006
I am often times asked why I don’t talk about gold stocks. So, I will. I have not been recommending buying gold stocks, but coins (American Eagle as just one example), because of the stock market in general. Many large hedge funds and corporate entities now have gold stocks in their overall stock portfolio. So, when they see the market declining, as it has, and as I see it currently, they sell portions of their entire stock portfolio. You also have the many variables such as poor management, international intervention or take over of mines outside of America (can you say Venezuela), and other non-controllable variables. Dow Jones Industrial
July 25, 2006
Two months ago several news outlets were boldly predicting 12,000 Dow. Two weeks later there was not even a 11,000 Dow, but a 10,700. The last two months has seen wide swings, like we saw yesterday. A triple digit drop or rise is not uncommon. Many people are getting their 401k programs slammed. A good 401k retirement program based solely on stocks at this juncture is risky at best. What is common is a collection of both; what is called a trading range. So, what’s it looking like for the rest of the year? Continue Reading »
Primary Election
July 24, 2006
I’ve found that it’s always better to play the game that is next on the schdule and not to try and look ahead to a series three weeks away. Therefore, my counsel to the Democrats would be that they forget about who is running in 2008. I’d recommend that they not worry about which primary is when in ‘08. And, I’d encourage them to forget Iowa and concentrate on those states here there are tight races in ‘06. Continue Reading »
Mideast Conflict Contained?
July 24, 2006
Now that it “appears” that the Mideast conflict is not going to spiral out of control, that Israel is not going to make a major incursion into Lebanon, gold is no longer driven by war. So, we get back to the other gold drives: the U.S. inflation rate, the U.S. dollar, and general fears about future insecurity. Continue Reading »

American Immigration
July 22, 2006
The American Immigration Home Page was started as a part of a school project for a 10th grade American History Class. The project was meant to give information as to how immigrants not only were treated, but also why they decided to come to America.
Sunni Muslims & Hezbollah
July 22, 2006
Wha is going on could give either the Democrats or the Republicans a victory this fall. I think everyone knows of the bad things that can happen for Bush; however, there is a much bigger picture that I think most Americans are not aware. I believe Bush is, and therein he just might save the day for his party in November. The key to a victorious strategy for the U.S., Israel, and Bush is in the demographics of the region. Let me explain. Continue Reading »
Asymmetrical Terrorist Threats
July 21, 2006
It will be some time before we know if Matthew Robert Rugo and Curtis Jetton were local terrorists; however, terrorist threats have become a new reality that is going to change how the world lives. It becomes a wake up call when you realize there might be terrorists down the street, or in the apartment next door. Many Texas City residents, (more than 300 had to evacuated) found that out this week. So, what is ahead for all of us? Continue Reading »
A Colorado Lottery?
July 20, 2006
Is Colorado now in play when it comes to Colorado politics? Dole took the State in 1996 and Bush won in 2000 and 2004; however, two Congressional seats went to the Democrats in 2004, so is there more in the hunt for 2006? Continue Reading »
Be Open To Change!
July 20, 2006
Psychologists will tell you that change always brings REGRESSION, especially a career change. There is an innate fear in man of the unknown. We want MAPS instead of COMPASSES. But, what if there are no maps? What if we’re being called to be pioneers delving into uncharted territory? Basically, what I am about to say seems easy until we’re told NOW, you need to CHANGE! There has never been a time in history when the “need to change” was so mandatory to our success and prosperity. The world is DOUBLING it’s information mass every 4 years now. In other words, what I know today is HALF what’s available for me to know in 2010. Continue Reading »

Current Inflation Rate
July 20, 2006
Big Benanke spoke before a Congressional committee yesterday and the stock market went wild: up 212 points. So what did he say that caused such enthusiasm? He said inflation was moderating! Are you kidding me? Here’s what I see. Continue Reading »
Gold Value Increases
July 19, 2006
As I said in yesterday’s post, I fully expected Wednesday to be an entirely different day. And, it was! Gold closed up $14. So, you gold coin value was accordinly increased. Some of my thoughts for today are as follows. Continue Reading »
