If there is anything that the Democrats are afraid of it is Karl Rove! I don’t know if he is pulling their chain or if he knows what he is talking about; however, he sure has the Democrats concerned. Karl is not only saying that the Republicans will hold both House and Senate, he is also promising an October Surprise. So much for the Security Council pressing Iran for sanctions. In the last three weeks both Germany and France have decided to change their stance. They have now adopted the typical United Nations modus operandi. Let’s talk the thing to death. Let’s talk while Rwanda kills 1,000,000 of it’s citizens. George Bush appealed directly to the people of Iran, Lebanon, and other areas of Islamic control. He offered them Democracy. They want food and medicine. For the next three days, all of the news is really going to be centered around the United nations as they kick off their General Assembly with a speech from George W. Bush this morning. This afternoon it will be Mahmoud Ahmadinejads’ turn to speak. The expected meeting of the two leaders won’t happen. There won’t be a confrontation on the General Assembly lunch menu today because the Iranian president has decided to skip it since they will be serving hard liquor. It’s okay to destroy a nation (Israel), but one can’t drink liquor.

Almost every poll has the President’s favorable ratings on the rise. Surprise, surprise! Gaps are being closed on dozens of contests where the Republican candidate was trailing badly. Santorum in Pennsylvania would be a prime example.
