Can The Economy Save Bush?

October 22, 2006

You understand that Bush is not running for any office don’t you? He is running to NOT be impeached though. As I’ve said, should the Democrats win both the House and Senate, the last two years for Bush would be spent fighting off impeachment. More or less a Clinton deja-vu- of his impeachment trials (literally). So, with a little over two weeks what can Bush do to help his Congressmen hold the fort? All the Iraq talk in one of the most deadly months of the entire war, is keeping the nation’s attention on a currently losing proposition. So, Bush now says that he’s going to switch the topic to the U.S. economy. My question is, how much control does he have of that? I guess we’ll soon see. Continue Reading »

Soon we will be able to forget about who is going to win what and we’ll be talking crow. You know, the stuff that the loser eats after each election. Everyone says that are going to win, but someone ahs to lsoe you know. So, I’ll be accenting politics and the elction in a macro sesne for the next two weeks- and the events that are going on to influence November 7th. For a detailed analysis you can click here. Or maybe this is mroe than enough information. Continue Reading »

First Of Three Predictions!

October 21, 2006

With 17 days to go, I am going to give my first actual prediction based on what I see currently. I will give an update- prediction, a week from now. And I’ll give my final prediction the day before. So, what’s it look like from my perspective, 17 days out? Continue Reading »

Big Surprise?

October 20, 2006

With two and a half weeks to go in this election cycle you could expect about anything to happen. The Mark Foley saga has been handled and we now know Mark was a victim of the Catholic church, a play toy of Rev. Anthony Mercieca, (who is now 69 and living in Malta) so we can move on. Right? I mean once we know someone has been victimized, it’s game, set, match. We have another victim! Continue Reading »

18 Days To Go

October 20, 2006

It’s slow and it’s small, but the Republicans seem to have turned things around. And of course the start of their multi-million dollar advertising blitz can’t hurt now can it? Rasmussen has mow moved the overall Senate look to 48 Republican or leaning Republican to 47 for the Democrats- and of ourse that means 5 are toss-ups. Continue Reading »

Kim Jong il

October 19, 2006

Most people have little knowledge of this nation that is in the news almost every day now- North Korea! It’s a nation that is truly isolated, poor, and going backwards (at least for 95% of the people). While the masses live in dire poverty and inhumane conditions, Kim Jong-il puts all of his money into building up a military. The civilians have to rely upon grains from outside to feed themselves. Meanwhile a standing army of over 1,000,000 soldiers eat well. The military is now the 5th largest in the world. Continue Reading »

19 DAYS TO GO!

October 19, 2006

Will the Democrats run the tables? In politics, as in life, anything can happen. Could 2006 be the Democratic answer to the Republican 1994 when a political tsunami swept over the landscape? Or, might there be a surprise or two and the Republicans maintain a razor’s edge advantage in both houses like Karl Rove says (not sure he believes it). Continue Reading »

Begin With The End In Mind

October 18, 2006

Some say that it’s “not where you begin, but where you end.” While I agree with the last part of that statement, nothing could be further from the truth than the first part. IF you believe that we were created by a Creator and that He formed us for a PURPOSE: then to do something other than that purpose would be a waste of time. If there is truly a purpose, then the faster we tap into that purpose the more successful we will be. In other words, we have to follow the PLAN. We have to conform to the MOLD! Continue Reading »

A Rove Proclamation!

October 18, 2006

When Karl Rove speaks eveyone listens, especially Democrats. So, when Karl spoke Tuesday at a Washington, D.C. luncheon, everyone was listening. What did he say?  ”I’m confident we’re going to keep the Senate; I’m confident we’re going to keep the House. The Foley matter has impact in some limited districts, but the research we have shows that people are differentiating between a vote for their congressman and a member from Florida,”  Continue Reading »

An Act Of War?

October 17, 2006

I thought that an “act of war” was when an invading enemy attacked you and you fought back. Someone notify Websters Dictionary that they need to update their book. An act of war is when an international body puts sanctions on a nation (can you say North Korea?) for them violating an international agreement. What North Korea is doing (if anyone can figure them out), is akin to a person going to the police and claiming someone stole their stolen goods and so they’re going to shoot them for engaging in such an evil act. Say what? Continue Reading »

Correction Over?

October 17, 2006

All signs seem to be pointing to an end to the correction that started in gold back in May. Tuesday gold gapped higher forming an “island reversal” which is a bullish formation. And then you have the uncertainties of the election, the looney Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and a North Korea that says the U.N. Sanctions is a declaration of war. Continue Reading »

Three Weeks To Go!

October 17, 2006

Rick Santorum (R) continues to trail challenger Bob Casey Jr. by 13% as the State swings Democratic in many ways. In the Governor’s race, Rendell leads by 17%. Rasmussen now has the national Senatorial race a toss up with 48 leaning or fully Democratic and the same amount Republican. In other words, it’s all coming down to the last 21 days. Continue Reading »

Follow The Money!

October 16, 2006

It’s an old saw in politics and life and it works! When you get down to it, it’s all about power, and power comes from money. So, in these last three weeks (22 days to be exact), both parties are trying to hide what they are doing with their money. They can’t hide the amount of money they have (unless they want to go to jail), but they’ll wait til the last minute to show their hand on where they are spending their resources. Continue Reading »

Yet Another Resolution!

October 16, 2006

So, the United Nations has once more come through with yet another Resolution. This one is against North Korea. And it means nothing. What began as a tough Resolution was watered down as usual to a Rresolution that was acceptable to China and Russia. When the dust had settled on the various changes and amendments, there was no teeth in the Resolution. And what sanctions were actuslly passed, will not be enforced. Continue Reading »
