Trancredo Vs. Bush (Jeb)
November 30, 2006
A Colorado congressman who likened Miami to a “third world country” defended his comments in a letter to Gov. Jeb Bush on Tuesday, saying fewer city residents consider themselves Americans. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo has been an out-spoken critic of the U.S. immigration policy, or lack thereof. Continue Reading »
Nouri al-Maliki vs. Muqtada al-Sadr
November 30, 2006
Who is this guy anyway? We all know that he is the prime minister of Iraq (who would want that job?). But who is he really? He and Bush have now had their big meeting in Jordan wherein he said that he felt the Iraqi forces would be able to take over the control of security of his nation in 6-7 months. My question is, will he even be alive in 6-7 months? Continue Reading »

Shadow Boxing
November 27, 2006
It’s still November which means we are two months away from the Democrats coming into real power! Until the new Congress is sworn in January 20th, there’s going to be a lot of posturing, sending up and out test balloons to see if they’ll fly, and finally to see how much real power there might be in those committee rooms. There will be threats and wild boasts of which we’ve already seen and heard. Here are just a few examples. Continue Reading »
Looking Good!
November 26, 2006
On November 4th, as you can read, I said it looked like it was time for a breakout in gold prices. After stagnating in a trading range for two months, gold fundamentals started looking positive. We’ve had about 90% up days versus down days over the last thirty days. And has it just started? Continue Reading »
Passionately Motivated
November 26, 2006
“Govern your passions or they will govern you.” Latin proverb
The church has historically looked upon sex, passion, and emotion with fear and embarrassment while at the same time talking about intimacy as though it were divorced from the former concepts. There is great opportunity for devastation to come out of things related to passion; however, to live without passion is to fall to a similar fate indeed! How is it that God could demand that we either be on fire, hot, and full of passion for Him or else be cold, anti, and negative towards Him and His works? How could a loving God tell us to be “hot or cold” but NEVER LUKEWARM? I think the answer is found in that which beckons us to live lives that are ALIVE! Continue Reading »
Quacking Like Civil War
November 25, 2006
If we’re not seeing civil war in Iraq, then I need to ask a few questions about the definition of a civil war! Merriam-Webster says that a civil was is “a war between opposing groups of citizens of the same country.”. How about when you have opposing groups killing each other of the same country and the same religion? Maybe we need to come up with an eve more fierce and hateful definition. Continue Reading »

Politics Is Hell!
November 24, 2006
The death of Alexander Litvinenko reminds me just how evil poltics really is. Political commentator Charlie Cook had it right when he said, “The term politics comes from the Greek wod poly, meaning many, and tics, meaning blood sucking insects.” Wednesday, Putin and his KGB and or subcontractors took out Alexander Litvinenko! Litvinenko was a longtime critic of the Russian government, which he and his friends blamed for his sudden illness earlier this month. Russian authorities have denied any role in the matter.
