Gold was up $120 in 2007. Up 23.4%! Even if we don’t see $800 an ounce gold in 2007- BE HAPPY!

Is it possible to also find PEACE as well as happiness in a world that we now find ourselves living in? My answer is YES though it’s not an easy thing to accomplish. You may not get what you want, like what you have, but you can still choose to be HAPPY!

It looks like the world has survived its worst enemies in 2006- we humanoids! Homo sapien sapiens. Some didn’t make it out. On this side of the pond we closed the year with remembrances of Gerald Ford. On the other side of the pond the ending story was Saddam Hussein who didn’t make it out of 2006. But, we’re still here! And here’s my prayer and hope for us all in 2007. Continue Reading »
A Funny Thing Happened…
December 28, 2006
You know the rest of the phrase, right? We’re on our way “somewhere” when all of a sudden, things outside of our control (can you believe it) changed destiny and destinations for us. Sometimes that’s good, and sometimes that’s bad. But what it is a reminder of to me is that we’re definitely NOT in control of our life! Here’s what Wednesday showed me. Continue Reading »

Head For Cover!
December 27, 2006
A couple of fuses have been lit and just how long it will take for them to burn before they reach the explosives is unknown; however, there are some time frames that look reasonable. One is less than thirty days away, and the other is one that could have multiple explosions over a 30 year time frame. None of them bode well for peace in the world. Know what I am referring to? Honor Your Boss!
December 26, 2006
“If you wish to know what a man is, place him in authority.” Yugoslav Proverb There are many two-edged swords in life and how we respond to AUTHORITY is one of the most critical that we can handle. Two err on either side is to be at a great disadvantage. A fast way to losing one’s job is to disregard the lines of authority (chain of command) or to adhere to them to a fault. Just look at the lives that were destroyed in the Nixon administration to see where BLIND LOYALTY can lead you. But, on the other hand, to ignore the
4 Days To Go!
December 26, 2006
We’ll close out the year this Friday and it’s been a year wherein gold reached a recent high in early in the year- north of $700. The correction was on with gold dropping more than $200 an ounce, but not getting back to my $550 buy-in marker that I had set. So, how’s it all going to end? Continue Reading »
A Matter Of Perspective
December 23, 2006
The lines at the check out counter are unbelievable. It takes as much as 20 minutes to get your sale rung up. The drive to the mall that normally takes 5 minutes, took 45! And everyone is uptight, angry, and in a rush get ahead of you at every turn. It’s a war out there. Continue Reading »
Three More Weeks?
December 20, 2006
It’s the holiday season- time to be merry! Peace, Shalom, safe holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. Then get out of the way! Congress, the new one wherein the Democrats are in control will be back in town! So, we basically have three more weeks to be nice to each other. Thankfully, Congress is in recess, actually the old Congress is over and a new one returns next month. And here’s some of what they’ll face. Continue Reading »
Get Out Now…..maybe!
December 18, 2006
From the moderate wing of the Democratic party to the extreme far left (where the volume and frequency was much higher) all that could be heard was bring our troops home- NOW! When the Baker report came out two weeks ago, Democrats hailed it as a masterpiece. Bring the troops home NOW or else pull them out of Iraq and station them nearby in a safe place: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia. Hey, what if those nations don’t want them? What if the violence gets worse, do we send them back in again. Now that the Democrats control both houses, the solution doesn’t seem quite so simple. Continue Reading »
$35,000,000.00 In Cash!
December 15, 2006
I went to the bank today and I got there when the Brinks truck drove up. I couldn’t help but wonder just how much CASH they had in that satchel one of them was carrying. Or, how much did they have in the truck. The world is awash with CASH. We keep printing it (at a rate of about 10% this year- M3) so our enemies will have enough to bring us to our knees. Let me explain. Continue Reading »
