A Win Is A Win!

August 12, 2007

Sure you can find it if you look; however, the Republican, Iowa staw poll didn’t have the players that the liberal press want to over, let alone talk about. So, Romney is mentioned as the one who won, but then the story quickly moves to: it doesn’t matter, it was a low turnout, the big players weren’t there, etc. But, Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney refused Sunday to let low turnout and the absence of some notable opponents diminish his dominant victory in Iowa’s Republican Party Straw Poll. Continue Reading »

Shades Of Dunkirk?

August 10, 2007

In June of 1940, the Battle of Dunkirk was the defence and evacuation of the British and Allied forces that had been separated from the main body of the French defences by the German advance. Five nations; Britain, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Poland had to evacuate their troops or be killed. And, in accordance to military principle where priority is given to men over arms, the Allies left behind 2,000 guns, 60,000 trucks, 76,000 tons of ammunition and 600,000 tons of fuel supplies. Can you imagine what the United States (and what few allies that are left) would leave behind IF the Democrats succeed in forcing an immediate withdrawal? Furthermore…. Continue Reading »

The Fed Is Coming!

August 9, 2007

The Bush administration plans to step up immigration enforcement by raising fines on employers who hire undocumented workers, overhauling temporary worker programs and speeding up deployment of border agents, according to a summary of the plans. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez planned to announce broad immigration changes in a news conference Friday. Continue Reading »

Truth & Reality Will Prevail!

August 9, 2007

The battle has been on for a month now and yet there are some who just refuse to beleive the truth about the stock market and the world (primarily US of A) financial mess. Stocks have dropped over 1,000 points in three weeks, but half the time a 200 or 300 point drop occurs, brokers and investment houses rush in a buy on those dips thinking that they’ve got a great deal. Listen there’s not been a “major correction” in so long, people have forgotten what that means; however, the reminder is here and the blood-letting is far from over. Continue Reading »

Which Nuclear Option

August 8, 2007

While the emperors delighted in seeing lions eat Christians, Rome was burning. And while America is so concerned about an Al-Qaeda dirty bomb, Chiona is about to do what I’ve been sayiong other nations could easily do without loss of life- TANK THE US$. America has been buying oil by printing fiat paper money. What a scheme. If the government needs something, you just print money. Why would other nations play the game with us? Simply because they don’t want to kill the goose that’s laying the golden eggs (buying their exports). But, the option is there and…. Continue Reading »

Only The Brave Dare Enter!

August 7, 2007

And I am not even sure that they should. I’m talking about the stock market. Seeing a triple digit move one way or the other has been a rarity all year; however, in the past month there’s been nearly a dozen of them, and if a dozen, ten have been down! Try to make some sense of the last two trading days. On Friday the market was down 281 points. On Monday, the market was up 287 points. Does this make sense? Are there powers that be that are “playing the small guy like a fiddle“? Whatever the situation, it’s more than rough out there. And a lot of people get washed out in such swings! Continue Reading »

Liberal Paranoia Increases

August 5, 2007

Guess who owns the Wall Street Journal? The answer is News Corp. Guess who runs FoxNews? The answer is News Corp. Guess who owns them all? The answer is Rupert Murdock. Just when the liberals thought that they were making some headway in taking back radio and TV, along come Rup! According to a report, there may be some changes at the venerable newspaper under its pending new leadership. Continue Reading »

Hillary Is Headed Left!

August 4, 2007

There are several people that are more appealing to the far left wing of the Democratic party than Hillary- and one of those persona is John Edwards. Don’t look now, but she’s moving to that left-wing base that will deliver the party nomination, and then she can inch back to the center for the general election. After all politics is about expediency, winning, and out-foxing your opponents. Continue Reading »

Russia Claims The North Pole

August 2, 2007

America claims the Moon! Well, we haven’t but our flag is there. Does that count? Russian explorers dived deep below the North Pole in a submersible on Thursday and planted a national flag on the seabed to stake a symbolic claim to the energy riches of the Arctic. Can they do that? Continue Reading »

Another Triple Digit DOW Down Day

August 1, 2007

Four of the last six business days has seen the Dow down triple digits and I’m not talking slightly down. Today the Dow tanked 146 after losses of 208, 226, and 312. That’s down 892 points. Or you could look at it like this. Go back tow more trading sessions and you find a 5th triple digit down day (down 149) to make it a total of 1,039 points down. And, on the same Friday, the 20th, I wrote (you can go back and read the archives), about how the market was way oversold and due a MAJOR SELL OFF. Well, it’s happening! One of the reasons I gave was, “Housing is tanking, two hedge funds have been declared insolvent…” And guess what we learned on Tuesday? Continue Reading »
