Dream Ticket?

March 26, 2008

And now the democrats are really dreaming! Desperation can cause one to lose touch with all reality you know. With the image of the 2008 election slowly slipping away as each day produces more dirt on either Hillary or Obama, thought drift into a dream state of “what if”. What if we could have both Hillary and Obama on the same ticket and make peace? That’s a what if that’s not going to happen! Continue Reading »

Grand Illusion

March 26, 2008

It seems as though we have been lulled into a trance-like state wherein we run on these two rails of thought. First we want change but we don’t want to do anything different to affect it. And then secondly, we really believe things are going to stay the same regardless of what happens. Life happens! Plain and simple. That grand illusion or two is going to catch many asleep. And the role of those that are seemingly awake is? Continue Reading »

Muslim Conversion

March 25, 2008

If you thought Osama bin Laden was angry at the Pope for the cartoons, this will certainly get his attention! A Muslim conversion to Christianity is the same thing as signing one’s death warrant. An outspoken Muslim author and critic of Islamic fundamentalism who converted to Christianity at the hands of Pope Benedict said on Sunday he realized he was in greater danger but he has no regrets. I hope he sincerely feels that way because his future is bleak and short. Continue Reading »

Hillary In Bosnia?

March 25, 2008

There are times when one should just admit that they stretched the truth a bit at minimum or thyey out right lied at the worst. But, politicians have a hard time fessin up. There is simply no way that Hillary can “clean up” the tall tale that she’s been spinning about her “experience” or how show is so brave under fire. The CBS news video of her 1996 trip to Bosnia just makes not only her stretching of the truth look terrrible, but her campaigns attempt to clean it up look worse. Continue Reading »

Strategic Thinking

March 24, 2008

Call it stategic thinking, process thinking, or creative thinking, but whatever we do we need to abandon our stinking thinking! If there were no thoughts about 2012, no Mayan calendar, no galatic crossing, nor increased sun spot activity, what could we do to turn our thinking and the way we live around? Because right now we’re headed for a hell-hole of destruction. Something needs to get our attention that will cause us to unite and quit killing each other! Continue Reading »

4,000 Deaths!

March 24, 2008

Coming out of the Easter weekend, will we learn anything from what Jesus tried to convey to us? How many times did Jesus, who became the Christ, tell us to love our enemies, turn the other cheek, and not become embroiled in violence? But who believes that because much of the church preaches a blood-thirsty God who demanded the death of His son. So, thing it not strange that sometime this week we’ll be reminded on the senseless killings when the American death toll of American lives reaches 4,000 in Iraq! Continue Reading »

Bill Clinton

March 24, 2008

When the dust settles on this primary election cycle I think pundits and historians will mostly all agree that Bill Clinton was Hillary’s undoing. His game worked when it was him attacking them, when it was Bill versus the right wing conspiracy; however, when it is Bill versus “other Democrats” it is an abject failure. Democrats are now looking in the mirror and seeing the “Clinton myth” and it’s not a pretty picture at all. The latest Bill Clinton attack, as subtle as it was, didn’t go unnoticed! Continue Reading »

Rev. Otis Moss III

March 23, 2008

There’s no backing down or backing off. There’s no way that you can shove the tooth paste back into the container once it’s out. And the feelings of the black church in America is not going away. We Americans, regardless of color of skin or political persuasion are being forced to see how African American Christians, yes CHRISTIANS, feel. That means we must deal with it and that’s what a part of this election is all about. The Rev. Otis Moss III, who replaced Jeremiah Wright made that abundantly clear this Sunday. Continue Reading »

Bill Richardson

March 22, 2008

Is Bill Richardson the next vice president of the United States or just a modern day Judas? There are pretty good arguments that he could be either or maybe both? It all depends upon upon if you are a Barack Obama supporter or a Hillary Clinton supporter. I do thing it an interesdting point that Bill Richardson came out not only supporting new facial hair, but also switching to Obama on Good Friday. Continue Reading »

Politics Of Destruction

March 21, 2008

It seems that NONE are exempt. If you candidate is Obama trash Hillary. If your candidate is Hillary smear Obama. If your candidate is McCain disparage him. If your candidate didn’t make it to the final round, trash them all (can you say El Rusbo and his campaign of chaos?). What is productive in destructive-chaotic politics. What ever happened to supporting your candidate in a positive way and laying off all the anger rhetoric? Continue Reading »

Florida & Michigan?

March 21, 2008

What’s going to happen to the delegates from these two states and why is Florida always embroiled in some voting mess anyway? Much of Hillary’s strategy to wrest the nomination from front-leading Barack Obama (if he doesn’t shoot himself in the foot) was in getting a do-over in Michigan and Florida. As much as the delegate vote count mattered, it was the popular vote that she needed as well. And? Continue Reading »

Republicans For Hillary?

March 20, 2008

Blame it on El Rushbo (Rush Limbaugh)! You know the conservative icon that exudes integrity but tells Republicans to forget their conscience and party affiliation and cross over and vote for Hillary. Anything is fair in politics and war! The best analysis so far shows that Republican voters have cast an awful lot of ballots lately for Senator Hillary Clinton: about 100,000 GOP loyalists voted for her in Ohio, 119,000 in Texas, and about 38,000 in Mississippi, exit polls show. Continue Reading »

Osama Bin Laden

March 19, 2008

First it was Barack OBAMA and now it is OSAMA! Yep, the one an only is back ranting and raving, but this time he’s after the Papa- the Pope! The Al Qaeda leader himself, Osama bin Laden, threatened the European Union with grave punishment over the re-publication of cartoons of Islam’s Prophet Mohammad that Muslims saw as offensive. He seems to think that the world has to do what he says! Continue Reading »

The Dalai Lama

March 19, 2008

The exiled spiritual leader of Tibet, the Dalai Lama, spoke at a news conference Sunday in Dharamsala, India, two days after violent clashes between pro-autonomy demonstrators and Chinese security forces in Lhasa, the Tibetan capital. He asked for an international probe of what he called a “cultural genocide”. Tibet Watch, a group based in Dharamsala, India, said 34 people have died in the last few days. Continue Reading »
