Sacred Mythology
July 22, 2008
How we love to tell stories. Before there was the written were, there was the spoken word. And after the written word, the spoken word in the form of stories ruled the day. We’re still telling stories but they have become far more nuanced and subtle. The metaphors are more difficult to discern. Are you aware of the degree to “story telling” that’s going on in your life? States Of Consciousness
July 22, 2008
We grow up in this world telling ourselves who it is that we ARE when in actuality we are really on a journey to remember from when we came. We live our lives based on the STORIES that we tell ourselves. Those stories change greatly over our life here on earth. How many stories have you told yourself about yourself and where are you now? Toromiro Tree Of Life?
July 21, 2008
Did the story of the garden of Eden originate in the Tigris Euphrates valley? Is the Genesis Biblical account te earliest such story? Or are there earlier “garden stories” and “tree of life” metaphors? Did the Hebrew Eden story come from the Sumerian Edin story? Did they both come from a much earlier story? Asking questions, and the freedom to do so, is seeking TRUTH, which will set one free. Continue Reading »
Isle Of Pines
July 21, 2008
The Isle of Pines is an island located in the Pacific Ocean, in the archipelago of New Caledonia. It has a couple of very strange things that put some questions to us that need some honest inquiries and not just off-hand denial. If we can’t ask questions with an open mind today, is there any hope for the many of the answers we’ll need going into the 2012 window of many questions? Continue Reading »
It Is Finished!
July 19, 2008
It’s said that God rested on the seventh day and when Jesus was on the cross He said, It is finished. Both mystics and metaphysicians would concur that there’s nothing to create, just that which we need to manifest in the natural realm. In other words, bring that which IS, but is not yet SEEN, into the open so it can be SEEN. Continue Reading »
Encke Enlightenment?
July 19, 2008
It’s one thing to discuss the probabilities of an Atlantean and a Lemurian civilization, and it’s totally another thing to come up with the reasons both or either were destroyed. Frank Joseph, editor in chief of Acient America magazine, has an interesting opinion of the destruction of Lemuria. The civilization was undone by a comet. Continue Reading »
Toltec Tales
July 18, 2008
With so many ancient civilizations giving credence to advanced societies from our past history, it’s amazing that we continue to believe the world was created 6,000 years ago or that Darwin’s evolutionary scenario has any validity. There are some things, like nuclear wars tens of thousands of years ago that are hard to fathom, but there’s other evidence that’s hard to negate. Continue Reading »
Bridges Of Assumption
July 18, 2008
We live out our life by way of belief systems deeply embedded within us. Unfortunately, many of those beleifs are false or are predicated on invalid information. Another way we could put it is that we formulate some conclusions based on opinions that we’ve accepted and we live life then based on those ASSUMPTIONS! Therefore assumptions are bridges to the reality of our life- good or bad! Continue Reading »
Word Power
July 17, 2008
In the beginning was the WORD! Nothing was without the WORD. Are you listening to the WORDS. Yes, there are some words written on paper from 2,000 years ago that are very important, and in fact sacred; however, I am talking about the Rhema word- the NOW word as Tolle might say- in fact, did say. Are you living FROM the Word and not OF it? Continue Reading »
The Thera Volcano
July 17, 2008
We are overdue for a major volcanic eruption and one of the candidates to place bets on is a super volcano- the Yellowstone Park super volcano. If it does erupt, we’re in really deep yogurt and pumice. But one of the largest eruptions in history took place just Southeast of the Greece mainland, but a long, long time ago, Can you say the fifteenth century BCE (1628)? It’s known as the Thera volcanic explosion, with a Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) that made the 1883 Krakatoa explosion that killed 35,000+ people look quaint. Continue Reading »
Chain Of Destruction
July 16, 2008
Rob Bell writes in his book, The Velvet Elvis , that most Christians are afraid to change any views that they hold, or even question them because to do so could cause two very painful consequences. First, one might find out that they are wrong about something and secondly, the changing of one thing could lead to changing or revisions in other things. Continue Reading »
Lost Civilizations?
July 16, 2008
Having to admit that we aren’t really the latest and greatest of societies or cultures is just too much for our egos to handle. Thus we dismiss any notion or information that doesn’t fit into our neatly organized paradigms and view points of history. I’m sorry Darwin, the straight line of evolutionary development of humanhood isn’t valid and neither was there a literal Adam and Eve. Allegorically, the Eden story works, but not literally. The Titicaca Torment
July 15, 2008
Most of the time when scientists talk about the Pleistocene era and what our earth looked like at that time, all the discussion is about mammoths in Siberia or how fast the last ice age retreated from North America. But, there are some interesting and tormenting questions that come from South America and the Andes. One of the most difficult geographic areas to define is lake Titicaca. Continue Reading »
Wisdom Loves
July 15, 2008
Most Christians have read it and most religions embrace it, but few practice it- LOVE! I was recently told that an individual loved the “feel” of a group discussion he was in; however, he hated the doctrine and ideas that were posited, and therefore he would have nothing more to do with the people in the group. Huh? Say what? Continue Reading »
