New Orleans Evacuation
August 31, 2008
Has Ray Nagin over learned his lesson? Ray’s recent rhetoric has been over the top concerning hurricane Gustav. He’s called Gustav the mother of all hurricanes, storm of the century”, and one that is 900 miles wide. Huh? Well, I guess in light of his Katrina failures, maybe a little exaggeration on this hurricane is understandable. In the meantime, everyone OUT of New Orleans! Continue Reading »
Republican Convention
August 31, 2008
The Democrats say Gustav is God sent. The Republicans are trying to take advantage of the situation by appearing more compassionate. George Bush learned from Katrina so he’s skipping his Monday night appearance at the Convention. McCain had talked about postponing the Convention but everyone knew THAT was not going to happen. Both parties are trying to make political gain from this presumed catastrophe. So much for ploitics. Continue Reading »
Half Awake Humanity
August 31, 2008
Where are we as a people, a species, humanhood? Who can really answer that question with any degree of comparison or understanding? Are we facing our final evolutionary exam as Buckmeister Fuller contends. And how would he know that? What powers are there that we have that will allow us to find the answers to the myraid of problems facing us in the near future? Continue Reading »
Gustav Hurricane- Category 4
August 30, 2008
The mystery grows because the options for category four Gustav now have four options. A big pressure ridge to the North will make or break what might happen. Specifically for New Orleans, Gustav could be worse than Katrina (much worse) or it could be a non-event for the city. Unfortunately, at this time, no one knows which option will prevali. Let’s look at the four possibilites. Continue Reading »
Gustav Heads To Gulf
August 30, 2008
Trying to figure out where Gustav will land has been an interesting problem. Just when the weather men felt like thay had it figured out, Gustav went South- literally! Instead of going west and moving between Jamaica and Cuba, Gustav got shoved directly South by a prominent HIGH that formed over Florida. So, Instead of Ocho Rios and the North of Jamaica getting the brunt, it was Kingston and South Jamaica taking the big hit. Continue Reading »
Sarah Palin
August 29, 2008
John McCain has made his decision as to who will counter Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket- who’s the person that will do the fourth debate for the Republicans? It’s Sarah Palin! Say What? Sara who? A woman? Yep and that’s a good John McCain strategy in that he’s trying to take advantage of the defection of many women that loved Hillary. But, will it work? Time will tell. Continue Reading »
Tim Pawlenty
August 29, 2008
John McCain has Tim Pawlenty on his short list. So, who is Timothy James Pawlenty? He is the 39th and current Governor of Minnesota and a member of the Republican Party. In the Minnesota gubernatorial election of 2002, as the Republican nominee, he was elected Governor of Minnesota and inaugurated on January 6, 2003. He was re-elected in 2006, and his second term will end on January 3, 2011. Change Your Future!
August 29, 2008
Are you unhappy with where you find yourself in life. I’ve got GOOD NEWS! You can change your future unless you believe in some perverted religious form of predestination wherein you think as Jack Nicholson did in the movie, “Is This As Good As It Gets“? I say perverted because why would God create you (or me) for the kind of life we’re now living? Why not a life like Jesus lived- and even MORE? Continue Reading »
Biospheric Bungling!
August 28, 2008
What in the world is this and what’s whatever it is got to do with 2012? Well, maybe nothing if you’re expecting the end of the world, but then again maybe something great if you’re looking for a leap in consciousness for humanhood. Let’s break it down. The biosphere is that part of the Earth which includes the air, land, surface rocks, and water, within which life occurs, and which biotic processes in turn alter or transform. Bungling is an amateurish, awkward, inept, inexpert, maladroit, unskillful approach to something. Continue Reading »
Dangerous Awakening?
August 28, 2008
Something is happening and not just afew are feeling it. One day though I believe we will reach the tipping point and when we awaken to the new world that we’re living in we’ll question if it’s good or bad? How we love eating at the tree of good and evil. Nonetheless, perceptions of reality will be greatly changed and therefore so msut we be as well. Continue Reading »
Hurricane Gustav
August 28, 2008
Here we go again and can fate play some interesting tricks on us or what? Do you rememebr Katrina? New Orleans sure does. Gustav will enter the Gulf shortly and God only knows where it will make land; however, many of the computer models has it coming ashore close to New Orleans or with a dead aim at that sity under sea level. Hey, who lives in a city BELOW sea level? Continue Reading »
I AM- That!
August 27, 2008
We’re told to call that which is NOT as though it WERE; however, most of us are miserable at doing it in such a way as whatever it IS that we are calling actually manifests! Yet, we’re told in the Pentatuch that God’s name, and therefore character, was I am THAT….I AM! God is EVERYTHING and being that we are ONE with Him, guess what! Continue Reading »
Hillary Clinton
August 27, 2008
Hillary got her turn Tuesday night. But earlier in the day, Bubba was at it again, making a obtruse argument about two candidates that smacked of an up side the head blow to Obama. Bubba just can’t quite keep his emotions to himself, but we already know that. The introduction was much like Michelle’s the night before- filled with stories of her childhood and snippets from her mother. Continue Reading »
Spiraling Upwards
August 26, 2008
Watching the Democratic convetion there’s a sense of deja vu, like haven’t we been here before? And the answer is YES and the answer is NO. How many times around the mountain did the Hebrews have to go, how many wasted years out there in the desert looking for the Promise Land that wasn’t all that far off. But, while the Democratic Convention has many past memories, there’s some new stuff there. Continue Reading »
