Gateway To Higher Consciousness
September 23, 2008
There are windows of opportunity in life. There are doors that open from time to time that enable us to make great strides in life as well as seasons when it seems that every door is closed. Worst of all, for most, are those hallways in between places, a transition called liminal space. But what’s this gateway to a higher consciousness? Continue Reading »
An Earthen Vessel
September 22, 2008
The fact that we’re called earthen vessels doesn’t carry with it some sort of curse! Why would a benevolent Creator who is said to be LOVE, create that which is flawed or of little value. Enough already of the put down and meritocracy steps to free one of such low status. May we continue the journey of life “until Christ is fully developed in your lives (Gal. 4:19).” Continue Reading »
Chain Reactions
September 22, 2008
It’s been said that Wall Street was 500 trades away from having the bottom fall out last Thursday before the U.S. government stepped and flooded the market with liquidity. And, Uncle Sam (and Bush) wants to not only flood the market with more, but to take out some $700 BILLION is loans off the books of banks that don’t look good. Isn’t that what got Enron in so much trouble? Continue Reading »
Thinking & Perceiving
September 21, 2008
We all think- some more than others. We all interpret what we see differently because our perception of things come from past experiences, future expectations, attitudinal concepts, and spiritual development. The key question in this mix is what the “relationship” is between between THINKING and SPIRIT. Continue Reading »
United Socialist State Republic of America
September 20, 2008
Former White House economist Nouriel Roubini, who forecast the current financial storm two years ago, has a harsher verdict. He says the USA is turning into the “United Socialist State Republic of America.” When other nations were in the same financial bind as America is today, we told them to suck it up and let the markets dictate what needs to be done. And now? Continue Reading »
Hurricane Ike- One Week Later In Houston
September 19, 2008
This will be my final daily update on hurricane Ike as it relates to primarily Houston and Galveston. Obviously, there are another 27 counties that have been declared a disaster area and every city or county has a story to tell. A week after the lights started going out, Centerpoint Energy reports that there’s still 56% of their customers without power: Entergy has 60% out and TNMP 40%. That’s a lot of misery. Continue Reading »
The Gold Revival
September 18, 2008
For thsoe who had written off gold, or those that were shorting the yellow metal, last two days have given everyone pause to reconsider. Gold was up $90 on Wednesday for a record one day advance. Many were saying that it was overdone and would drop on Thursday; however, gold was another $30 on Thursday for an eye-popping $120 over two days. Continue Reading »
Hurricane Ike- Day 6 Aftermath!
September 18, 2008
Ice, food, water, and gasolione are just a couple of the critical life sustaining items for those living in Southeast Teaxs. And FEMA’s new plan calls for each of the distribution centers to be equipped with three trucks each for ice, food and water. The trucks will form a continual relay to keep the centers stocked. So, the now say after a couple of misrerably managed initial days. Continue Reading »
Surviving 2008- Before 2012!
September 17, 2008
An interesting thing happened on the way to 2012- 2008! In an interesting twist on where we are headed (can you say shark-infested waters?) as a world, maybe a collaspe of the financial system will force us to get along and change our consciousness. Could what’s happening today be a “learning curve” for the future? Is anyone SEEING what’s happening? Continue Reading »
World Financial Meltdown?
September 17, 2008
Maybe Houston is a picture of what’s happening in the world. I am talking about Houston after hurricane Ike. Just how far does our government think they can go pretending to keep things going well? How many corporations can our government bail out? At what point does our government run out of making money or do we just keep printing it until we have to change the currency or devalue it. Continue Reading »
Gold Starts To Rebound
September 17, 2008
The Russian stock market have been forced to close for two days in a row now as a meltdown in financial markets circles around the globe. Once upon a time America was a capitalistic economy but with the government buying out Fannie Me, Freddie Mack, and AIG in the last few days, so much for that concept. We’re in very dangerous waters and the savvy people know it. Continue Reading »
Hurricane Ike - Day 5 Aftermath
September 17, 2008
The death toll in Galveston has now risen to 20 and the confirmed hurricane deaths in Houston now stands at 10. Both are expected to increase as the days go by. And the newest and unexpected problem that officials are dealing with is a TIGER! It’s just one of those unintended consequences of STUFF HAPPENS. Continue Reading »
Hurricane Ike- Day 4 Aftermath
September 16, 2008
The death toll from Ike rose to 34 in nine states Monday and counting. Much like mayor Nagin told New Orleans residents after Katrina, the mayor of Galveston pleaded with residents not to return, saying the city’s resources are “stretched to the max” by Hurricane Ike’s devastation. There’s no room at the inn- nor water, nor sewage, no gasoline- NADA! Continue Reading »
Black & Red Monday
September 15, 2008
You’ve heard of Black Monday, well welcome to black and RED Monday. The Dow tanked big time, falling mroe than 500 points. And though spot gold had the second day of rebound off the bottom, HUI tanked along with the stocks. Today was a good example of why it’s best to hold the real thing (gold coins or bullion) than to be holding gold stocks. Continue Reading »
