2012 Noosphere?
December 31, 2008
In the original theory of Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky, the noosphere is the third in a succession of phases of development of the Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life). Will 2012 see the culmination of the fruit from a maturation of the noosphere? Just as the emergence of life fundamentally transformed the geosphere, the emergence of human consciousness fundamentally transforms the biosphere as well. Continue Reading »
Senator Roland Burris?
December 31, 2008
Not only is Blago somewhat out of the mainstream, h’s also about as defiant as anyone can be. Gov. Blagojevich took it to his detractors with an “in your face” appointment to the Senate seat being vacated by Barack Obama. Not only is he not stepping down, but he’s pressing in and onward. Try and stop me is his challeng. True Illinois politics and then some maybe. Continue Reading »
Believable Cultural Myths?
December 30, 2008
Who wants to believe or embrace bad news, especially very bad news- catastrophic news? Almost every culture or ancient civilization has preserved stories, legends, or myths about terrible events that have decimated their people and the planet as a whole. Since we moderns have not experienced anything like that (WWII notwithstanding), are these stories believable? Continue Reading »
Retail Bailouts & Bankruptcies
December 29, 2008
Now that the financial institutions have received all of their pre Christmas bailout money and now that the automobile industry is getting a down payment on their billions, with Christmas over, is it time for the retailers to get their share of the hand outs, bailouts, or whatever you want to call them? After all, Christmas is 30-50% of some retailers entire year sales. Continue Reading »
Obama In Hawaii
December 28, 2008
Hopefully the power outage in Hawaii over the weekend that left Obama in the dark is not some sort of prophecy about his presidency. Barack Obama was without electricity for 12 hours at his vacation home on Oahu following a major blackout across Hawaii’s most populous island. What’s the odds? Continue Reading »
Israeli Raids In Gaza
December 27, 2008
Israel will only take so much pestering before they swat the pests that keep firing missles into their territory. Saturday morning that point had been reached and Israel responded. Israeli warplanes retaliating for rocket fire from the Gaza Strip pounded dozens of security compounds across the Hamas-ruled territory in unprecedented waves of airstrikes Saturday, killing at least 155 and wounding more than 310 in the single bloodiest day of fighting in recent memory. Native American Indians on 2012
December 27, 2008
It’s believed that more than 120 native American Indian tribes speak of what’s believed to be the lost civilization of Atlantis. And it’s not just the backward view in history that’s interesting folklore and legend, but also the going forward view that most have of the anticipated and infamous December 21, 2012 date- or thereabouts. Are we seeing just a copying one of the other or some intrinsic spiritual consciousness? Let’s briefly review a few. Continue Reading »
2009 Unintended Consequences
December 27, 2008
With the exponential growth of knowledge, we are in uncharted waters of which the consequences could be the exact opposite of what we’re striving for indeed. There’s probably no better evidence than the BAILOUTS. With the government printing money as fast as it is, and bailing out anyone who comes to the table, our attempt at saving the economy is only destroying it- long term. Bailing out some financial institutions and not others have left some hedge funds bankrupt. Lowering interest rates to zero has forced out of business 50% of the mutual funds. Continue Reading »
Galactic Superwaves : EMP Alert!
December 26, 2008
Let’s start small and let’s begin here on earth. You ready? The United States (and he world) relies on electronics for every aspect of its citizens’ lives. If our electronics were taken out, we would of course be totally vulnerable to any enemies. An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack could be triggered by a nuclear warhead detonated at high altitude over America. The resulting blast would create an EMP, a shockwave that could “cripple military and civilian communications, power, transportation, water, food, and other infrastructure.” But, what if the “incoming” EMP was from out there somewhere? Continue Reading »
Wall Street Suicide (Ponzicide)
December 26, 2008
Liliane Bettencourt, the world’s wealthiest woman and heiress to the L’Oreal empire, entrusted part of her $22.9 billion fortune to Bernard Madoff through the fund manager found dead in New York yesterday. Thierry Magon de la Villehuchet, the co-founder and chief executive of Access International, was found dead in his office in New York yesterday. It appears that he committed suicide as a result of the Bernard Madoff ponzi scheme. Continue Reading »
Merry Christmas!
December 25, 2008
What religion has done to Christmas cannot compare as to what secular humanism has done to the occasion. Both have so USED the Christmas season and holiday that there are few facts or spiritual significance to either. Christmas is now a time off work, to go into debt, to eat extravagantly, and to celebrate worship before so many false idols that the list is endless and growing. Let’s move on though with the Merry Christmas greeting. Continue Reading »
2012 Perfect Storm : Synchronicities & Synchronization
December 25, 2008
Every now and then we experience that “perfect storm” from one sense or another. The phrase “perfect storm” originates from the 1997 book The Perfect Storm which refers to the simultaneous occurrence of weather events which, taken individually, would be far less powerful than the storm resulting of their chance combination. Such occurrences are rare by their very nature, but when they come we know it. Continue Reading »
California Dreaming To Cale-fornee-a Nightmares!
December 24, 2008
Two public employee unions on Monday sued Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to block his effort to furlough state workers in a cost-cutting measure as California’s treasury runs out of money. I guess the unions feel that’s what they need to do to look good in the eyes of their union members; however, reality is reality. You can’t squeeze blood out of a turnip, even though the liquid is red. Continue Reading »
Dionysus, Mithras, & Jesus
December 23, 2008
Before the Mayans were many civilizations that alluded to some sort of monumental change in earth-consciousness in 2012. That in no way negates the uniqueness of the Mayan Long Count calendar. The history of the planet and humanity is one long chain of Being. The process of unfolding enlightenment is amazing to review and watch in our own lives. To establish everything on 2012 to the Mayans is to deny the many pieces of the puzzle from earlier civilizations. Continue Reading »
