Bridges Of Assumption

July 18, 2008

We live out our life by way of belief systems deeply embedded within us. Unfortunately, many of those beleifs are false or are predicated on invalid information. Another way we could put it is that we formulate some conclusions based on opinions that we’ve accepted and we live life then based on those ASSUMPTIONS! Therefore assumptions are bridges to the reality of our life- good or bad!

Scary thoughts!

Neville Goddard put it this way, “The drama of life is a psychological one in which all the conditions, circumstances, and events of your life are brought to pass by your assumptions.” So then the questions that need to be answered are just how valid are your assumptions and are you the slave or the master of those assumptions?

As a man assumes in his heart so is he!

I know, the King James version of that Scripture says as a man THINKETH- way too olde English, and it is your thinking that allows you to arrive at those assumptions. We’re dealing with a lot of semantics here while the end product is the same.

Listen, our assumptions (let’s say of what we think may comes to pass that has not yet) have the power to put us physically into the future, into places that we currently are not yet. Are you follwoing me here? Go back and reread that sentence until you get it. But once you’ve assumed what’s NOT, your senses will naturally pull you back to what IS, or what your natural vision says you’re seeing.

Thus you have to invoke the bridges of assumption to get back to that place you want to be, but are not yet- physically.

And, you’ll have to meditate and alternatively “work” on this principle before it becomes LIFE!
