Senator Caroline Kennedy?

January 19, 2009

Now that we have a replacement in the Senate for Barack Obama from Illinois who will be the replacement for Hillary in New York? In site of claims that he’s still undecided, Gov. Paterson is “certain” to pick Caroline Kennedy to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton in the US Senate, several unhappy contenders for the job have told friends and associates in recent days. Chicago Political Corruption!

December 10, 2008

Most people don’t have a very high standard placed on politicians. And politicians from Louisiana or Illinois have an even lower threshold for honesty and integrity. Why, you can take a 100,000 bribe, stuff the money in your freezer and pretend all is legal when you get caught. And then get re-elected. No big deal. I can’t imagine what arrogance, stupidity, or both that allows a man under investigation, as Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, was and then still say the things he did- on tape! Continue Reading »

Peter Orszag : OMB Chief

November 25, 2008

Another day, another politial appointment by Barack Obama who contends that he will hit the ground running. READY on day ONE! I wonder whre he got that phrase? And he promises to JOLT the economy, as though it hadn’t already been jolted, shocked, stirred and shaken. So who is this new man named Peter Orszag anyway? Continue Reading »

Presidential Pardon Time!

November 25, 2008

Okay, we all know what Bill Clinton did on the last two months of his term as President as it relates to pardons. Does anyone need to be reminded? Since Washington is so “bailout” oriented, why not really bail out some people? You know, let those bad guys, who are really good guys, out of prison. Well, now that we’re getting close to the end of the Bush presidency, it’s time to keep an eye on whom he pardons, and why Continue Reading »

Bill Richardson

November 23, 2008

You knew he was going to get some high post and most probably a cabinet post. I’m talking about the govefrnor of New Mexico- Bill Richardson. In fact, it was my thought that Obama would make Richardson his vice presidential partner to garner the Hispanic vote; however, I guess he felt he had that bloc sewed up already. So, how about Secretary of Commerce. How’s that sound Bill? Continue Reading »

Marxist, Terrorist, Muslim Liberal!

October 29, 2008

Now tell me! How could anyone in their right mind vote for Barack HUSSEIN Obama? Have you checked his record? Do you see who he is? Aren’t you aware that he only belonged to Jeremiah Wright’s church for the last twenty years, pretending to be a Christian, when in fact he’s a Muslim who worships Allah every day, seven times a day, when people aren’t around. Continue Reading »

Senator Ted Stevens

October 28, 2008

If the Democrats win 60 seats in the Senate next week, you can blame it partly on Senator Ted Stevens, or at least it sure looks that way to me as a result of his guilty verdict yesterday. Ted Stevens gambled by asking for a speedy trial, betting a high-powered defense team, some sterling character witnesses and his unblemished record as Alaska’s political patriarch would get him a pre-election acquittal on corruption charges. It back-fired yesterday! Continue Reading »

Sarah Palin Pushes Buttons!

October 26, 2008

Let’s face it, mavericks are, well, MAVERICKS! John McCain says he is one and so he picks Sarah Palin becuase she is one. But, has Sarah gone too far in making that point stick? Or is the hand writing on the wall that McCain is going to lose and Sarah Barracuda wants to set herself aprt in some areas, from mcCain, wo she can have her own forum and “standing” within the party for 2012? It’s obvious McCain is done after this election. Continue Reading »

Jennifer Hudson & Politics

October 25, 2008

From Ashley Todd to Jennifer Hudson. Headlines across America went from tragedy to tragedy except the one that befell Ashley at her own hands could not compare to the one that touched Jennifer by the hands of unknown assailants. Of all the seemingly weird events that have surrounded Barack Obama, the latest factoid is that Chicago has becoem the crime city of America. Continue Reading »

House Cleaning

October 24, 2008

While everyone is holding their breath to see what tomorrow’s polling numbers will be for Obama & McCain, what’s being overlooked is the political tsunami in the House and Senate. Let’s focus just on the House for now. Currently there are 235 Democrats in the House to 199 Republicans (one Independent). Other than Florida’s 16th district, home to scandal-plagued Democrat Tim Mahoney, things are looking BLUE- like in Democratic BLUE STATE! Continue Reading »

General Colin Powell

October 19, 2008

What most people felt would happen did and on the day that might be looked at as when John McCain was knocked out with a 1-2 punch There was the Colin Powell left to the side of McCain’s head and then there was the right-handed haymaker that landed squarely on his chin. I’m talking about the monster $150,000,000 in campaign contributions in September. It’s over! Continue Reading »

Palin Is Failin!

October 18, 2008

There’s no doubt that Sarah Palin is a fresh face on the political scene- too fresh. Her lifestyle is as good as it is bad. Isn’t that the way it is with most folks? Beyond her incredible ambition, what’s also admirable. She’s a great hockey mom and she’s PRO LIFE! But is that the qualiffications to potentially be president of America? I think you know it’s not. Continue Reading »

Congressional Control

October 14, 2008

If anyone thinks that the president of the United States is not power, they need to just look back at what George W. Bush did in the eight years that he was in office. He went against the majority of Americans on many issues and against most of the world in general. However, that was only because Congress was still practically in the hands of his conservative Republican base. If McCain wins the presidency, he will have no such luxury as the Democrats seem on the verge of a massive win in November. We shall see. Much can happen in two weeks! Continue Reading »

The Last 100 Days

October 13, 2008

Presidents and the public always look forward to the first 100 days of a new presidency that begins on January 20th. I am sure that the public and George W. Bush are really looking forward to the LAST 100 days. What a difficult way to end any presidency and if I was # 43 I couldn’t wait to retire and get out of the proverbial hot seat!
