Bob Barr
May 27, 2008
Just because Michael Bloomberg decided not to use a billion of his wealth to run for president on a third party ticket doesn’t mean others can’t spend a few million doing so. In the city that will select the Democratic nominee for president, the Libertarian party picked it’s candidate for this year’s election cycle- BOB BARR! Continue Reading »
Bloomberg Says No!
February 28, 2008
Michael Bloomberg says that he’s made a decision. He’s not going to run for president in 2008. Since he has always denied running for president, why does he have to “finally deny” running for president? Don’t you just love politics? Add his name to the list of those not running. We are in for a wild ride and next weeks March 4th primaries will greatly shape what’s ahead for the 2008 races. Continue Reading »
Third World Country
February 14, 2008
Not to be out done by the press that Obama, Hillary, and McCain is getting, it seems that every other day or so now, Michael Bloomberg has something to say, and it’s not necessarily about New York. Three days ago he spoke out on global warming. Everyone knows about that! Right? Ah, but Bloomberg had some novel ideas. But, now what? Continue Reading »
Bloomberg & Global Warming
February 12, 2008
I love how nearly every week the MAYOR of New York has something to say about national, international, and planetary issues. The New York mayor- who just happens to be Michael Bloomberg, who is spending lots of money testing the political presidential winds. And he has a lot of money to test those currents as well. His net worth is somewhere around five BILLION, but who’s counting! Continue Reading »
Bloomberg To The Rescue?
February 12, 2008
With the Democrats definitely headed left (either Obama or Hillary) and the Republicans doing exactly the same with McCain (though he pretends to be a conservative), could Michael Bloomberg take back his Republican party affiliation and run a a centrist-right winger? He’d be all alone. Ah, but of coruse he’s still not running for president. The wheat and lots of chaff is still being sifted. Continue Reading »
Super Bloomberg Time?
February 5, 2008
Once we have Super Tuesday out of the way, we’ll know alot more about whom Michael Bloomberg would be running- should he decide to do so. Now, Bloomberg needs time to assess what the political landscape looks like. Would he be running against McCain and Obama, or McCain and Hillary? When he does announce, he’ll have to have good reasons why he’s the candidate that America needs- beyond being the REAL CHANGE that a third party candidate would represent. Continue Reading »
The Bloomberg Truck Is Ready!
February 1, 2008
After visiting Texas and California two weeks ago, the Bloomberg machine has been quiet. That is until next week. Ocne we get the Super Tuesday results out of the way, Bloomberg will then know better how to position himself for a run and what his chances are- as though that mattered. Hillary, Obama, McCain, whatever. Who wants to take on close to a BILLION dollar advertising machine? With a half BILL of his own money and another half BILL (as in billion) from his friends, that makes Obama’s $32,000,000 that he raised in January look rather enemic. And you can forget matching funds! Continue Reading »
Bloomberg & Paul?
January 29, 2008
Anything could happen in this political cycle called Presidential election 2008. Who would have guessed that Rudy would be out after campaigning in one state? Since the Florida primary is yet to happen, I’m predicting here. Who would have thought Barack Obama would be making the waves that he is? Surely not Hill nor Bill. But, what about a third party candidate that could make a difference? Continue Reading »
Political Trifecta?
January 22, 2008
Aren’t you a bit tired of the two-party rants. Whay must we have eight years of Democratic demagogery and then eight years of Republican imperialism followed by eight years of the Clinton dynasty, which is followed by eight years of a Bush dynasty! How about a new alliance? A political trifecta? Continue Reading »
A Texas Trail Run?
January 20, 2008
If Michael Bloomberg is going to make a third party run in ‘08, his immediate attention will have to be upon the State of Texas. You know, the home of third party candidate (1992 and 1996), Ross Perot. But, unless you are from Texas, or happen to like cigars or people who smoke them, you’ve probably not heard about Kinky! Kinky made a third party run for governor last year and his experience will be sought. Continue Reading »
Third Party Ballot
January 19, 2008
How does one get on a ballot? How does one go about registering as a third party? How easy is it to get registered on a state to run for president? What’s the cost to get registered and what’s the last date that one might sign up for the November 2008 election? These are some of the questions that Michael Bloomberg is asking the Ross Perot people. Continue Reading »
Draft Bloomberg!
January 16, 2008
The political glacier named Bloomberg inches ever closer with more and more force, moving everything in its way out of the way. With all the hype around the top three candidates in each of the two major parties few still see what’s happening just below the radar screen. The hype of the primaries may mean nothing. Are we just a month away now from the big announcement? Continue Reading »
Bloomberg Investigates Openly
January 9, 2008
For a year now, Bloomberg has said he wasn’t running for President. For a year now his aides have said he wouldn’t consider it until we knew who the two parties would nominate as their presidential choices. If ever we DID NOT know who each party was going to select I would say that it’s now after New Hampshire. So, what’s Bloomberg doing? Continue Reading »
Barack Vs. Bloomberg?
January 7, 2008
The Obama bandwagon is on a roll and we’re now seeing stories here and there about Hillary Clinton dropping out of the presidential race as her funds dry up. Who would have ever guessed? Is this a political sensation not ever seen before? The charismatic Barack Obama is being compared to the youthful idealism of John Kennedy. Continue Reading »
