Consciousness Mansions

Many have made the words attributed to Jesus in John 14 into bricks-n-sticks. Many a song has been written and sung about us living in fabulous mansions in the sky and walking the streets of gold on our way I guess to a super mall up there somewhere. Literalizing everything demeans and debases the reality of the spiritual truths being imparted.

“In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.”

Okay, but what does those mansions speak of, if not literally? I’m glad you asked. I interpret (don’t hear any resounding authoritative attitude) what works for me and is consistent with how I interpret the sacred Christian document known as the Bible. Of course I have preferences in which translations to use- at which times. :-)

When we leave this third dimensional world, we’ll enter a much different one and with that will come a new consciousness. And I’m presuming that there are several levels of consciousness there as well as here on earth. The GOOD NEWS is that we’ll ALL have greatly enlightend and enhanced consciousness. Who knows how it will all work on the other side of life. We’re barely able to figure out how it all works here in this realm.

There have to be major changes.

God, the Spiirit is an “unconditioned consciousness”. We humanoids here on planet earth have a “conditioned consciousness”. It’s conditioned by the habits, mores, and physical attributes and limitations of being HUMAN! Once we’re not human, our conditioned consciousness will be “conditioned” by some new set of dynamics. Whatever it is, I look forward to the promotion for us all. We are eternal and immaterial but consciousness in some form.

How’s my mansion coming along Jesus? Take your time on mine, I’m in no rush. :-)
