Deal-Making Bubba!

February 3, 2008

If Hillary is elected presidentt there will be more scandals related to her co-president, Bubba, as in Bill Clinton than anyone can now imagine. There’s no way Hillary will be able to keep him chained up in the back yard. He’ll be jumping the fence and all over town at night while Hillary is huddled with her staff pouring over poll numbers to see how she should vote on the issues.

As Dick Morris said, “Make no mistake about it: If Hillary Clinton is elected president, her husband will be her rogue co-president, causing constant chaos, crises and conflicts for her new administration. And sometimes, that will be exactly what Hillary wants.” Not me

So, come Super Tuesday, we’ll know a lot more about this chaotic possibility.

In many ways, Bubba’s divisive role in her campaign has been carefully crafted by Hillary and her team. It might come in useful in the White House, too. Throughout Hillary’s campaign, Bill has given us an unfortunate preview of what we can expect of him in the White House. And, it’s not a pretty picture.

As Karl Rove correctly wrote today, the ellection rules have changed. With YouTube, voters have had the novel experience of personally witnessing the Clinton meltdowns on video without the sometimes cleansing intermediaries of the national press. And everyone has a camera phone these days. The video opportunities are simply everywhere. It is one thing to read that Bill Clinton confronted a reporter; it is quite another thing to see the red-faced former president angrily pointing his finger in the face of a journalist who dared to ask him a legitimate question.

As the New York Times reported: “Advisers to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton say they have concluded that Bill Clinton’s aggressive politicking against Senator Barack Obama is resonating with voters, and they intend to keep him on the campaign trail in a major role after the South Carolina primary.” I’d say they are following a failed strategy. Surely they see the polls. You know they do!

The Democratic Super Tuesday delegate count that’s at stake is HUGE!

Dick Morris who worked side by side with Bill Clinton for many years added, “At the core of Bill Clinton is a bold recklessness that cannot be harnessed. That inherent quality about him, combined with his arrogance and certitude leads him to test all boundaries. As a result, he involves himself in questionable financial deals, partners with inappropriate businesses and ignores blatant conflicts of interest. These arrangements will cause serious problems for a Hillary Clinton presidency.”

We really don’t need to stay frozen in the past with the Bush-Clinton, Bush, and now Clinton again scenario. I think the American public is fed up with it as well. At least I hope so. Enough Hillary-Gate and the likes. Enough finger-pointing and blame-shifting. enough already!

Aw, come on. Everyone LOVES a good daily “soap opera”.. With Bill and Hillary in the White House again, there will be plenty of foder for the enquier(Ernie cant spell either) and late night talk shows. Rush Limbaugh will get a bigger radio audience (Brittney move over). 4 -8 years of daily Billary. Does it get better than that?
