Hillary Clinton

August 27, 2008

Hillary got her turn Tuesday night. But earlier in the day, Bubba was at it again, making a obtruse argument about two candidates that smacked of an up side the head blow to Obama. Bubba just can’t quite keep his emotions to himself, but we already know that. The introduction was much like Michelle’s the night before- filled with stories of her childhood and snippets from her mother.

The eighteen million cracks in the glass ceiling had her final moment in the sun- at least for this election cycle.

In yet another pant suit (orange I think), Hillary stood before hundreds of white waving placards and reminded people of the differences between the Democrats and the Republicans. But she came out pushing for a change of leadership in the White House. She appeared sincere, bold, and passionate about the need for everyone to get behind Obama.

The differences between a Obama presidency and a McCain presidency was defined as a day and night situation.
Health care, social security, minimum wage, job loss, and of course Supreme Court justices were all reasons why Obama must be elected. And then her famous line was “No way, no how, no McCain“. To say that Hillary was well received in Pepsi Center is an understatement.

She saved some of her most passionate words to throw some red meat at what a John McCain presidency would look like.

But as has been said, it’s not up to her to unite the party but it’s up to Obama on Thursday to do that. So, now we must hear from Bubba and then on to the big affair on Thursday. And then the Republicans have their say next week. Then there’s two months of non stop blather………………and then you and I have the final say.

I can’t wait- for lots of reasons.
