Just What We Needed?
January 31, 2007
Guess what! The Democrats, you, and I have yet another person to think about for president in 2008, as if the next year is really on our minds since this year just began.
Democratic Sen. Joe Biden has been saying for months he’s running for president. He makes it official on Wednesday. The Delaware senator will file the paperwork with the Federal Election Commission and release a videotaped campaign message to voters on his Web site. I can’t wait!
We all know that many of these candidates will bail sometime in the next two years; however, most probably others will throw their hats in the ring as well. How in the world can you have a debate with more than a dozen candidates- just on the democratic side?
It was a zoo with nine in 2004.
Biden surely knows he has no chance, but he began by coming out swinging, saying of three of his rivals, “Hillary Clinton’s position is calibrated, confusing and “a very bad idea.†John Edwards doesn’t know what he’s talking about and is pushing a recipe for Armageddon in the Middle East. Barack Obama is offering charming but insubstantial fluff. And all of them are playing politics.”
Other than that Joe likes them.
I’ve lsot track of how many people are running for president; however, the Democrats should set a new Guinness record for 2008. Was that the goal?
