MY PRESIDENT A TOP GUN!

I’m just going to brag on the forty-third president of the United States: a person I am proud to call MY PRESIDENT! I loved Kennedy and I was even more fond of Bobby. I thought Reagan was great. Number forty-one was okay.

It’s number forty-three though that makes me smile, makes my chest stick out another inch or so. I am so proud of George W. Bush. Watching him land on the USS Abraham Lincoln was a very special moment for me. Seeing him get off the plane in his fighter-pilot suit with helmet tucked under his arm was awesome.

Here’s a man who truly loves the men and women of the armed services and they know it. His speech Thursday night? So-so. But, his jumping in to the crowd and shaking hands for as long as he did was great. The synergy between the Commander-In-Chief and his troops is more than obvious.

And his quoting Isaiah at the end was, well, just too much for this man who loves the same God. So, is there any doubt where I stand? I am amazed that the most powerful man in the world is still humbled before His God and mine

Did I mention he was a Top Gun also? :-)
