Newt Says No!
September 29, 2007
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will not run for president in 2008 after determining he could not legally explore a bid and remain as head of his tax-exempt political organization, a spokesman said Saturday.
“Newt is not running,” spokesman Rick Tyler said. “It is legally impermissible for him to continue on as chairman of American Solutions (for Winning the Future) and to explore a campaign for president.”
So, the political table is being set!
The primary election dates are being moved up so fast, it’s too late for anyone to jump in. Even Fred Thompson is finding that out. But, it’s not too late for one person- Michael Bloomberg. He’s not restricted to any primary process. He doesn’t care if New Hampshire or Iowa move their primaries to early January of late December (which both are considering).
He’s not going to run on either a Democratic or Republican primary ballot.
He’s going to be running as a third party candidate- with lots of money too!
Anyway, that’s my bet on this late Septemebr day. ![]()
