Pennsylvania Primary
March 10, 2008
Life and politics are strange bedfellows. It’s been said that the two tragedies to life are NOT getting what you want and the other one is GETTING what you want. COuld that be the case for and with Hillary Clinton as she and her team point to the Pennsylvania primary as her hole card- her wild card? It just could be WILD indeed.
She lost the brief momentum that she had in Super Tuesday II, just as she did in Super Tuesday I. Wyoming took care of that momentum real quickly. And the Mississippi primary in two days should further nail the momentum to the floor. And then there’s a whole SIX weeks until the Pennsylvania primary that everyone says Hillary will win because it is her kind of state.
And she has the governor on her side too.
With so much going for her in Pennsylvania, what if, just what IF, it becomes her swan song and fate deals her a political death blow? Possible? Probable? Impossible?
Pennsylvania, the biggest remaining state in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, should be a safe win for Hillary Clinton but experts say there are pockets of vulnerability for Barack Obama to exploit. “If the election were held today it would probably be Senator Clinton by 10 points, but six weeks in this crazy race, anything can happen,” said Clay Richards, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
Carter-Clinton: not a good comparison.
