I am appalled and outraged by the comments toward this man of God!!!He has served as a beacon of light to a mass of people across this nation. One who lives in still a segregated society appreciate his cander and realness about our present stae in America. I admire his integrity ad tenacity to speak his mind with boldness. I pray that He who oversees us all ever bless and keep him always in His care.

To the first poster, please do your homework before you assassinate the character of a great man (OMIII). You say that he is leading uneducated people, do you assume that because the majority of the church is African American. The church includes a diversity of people, doctors, lawyers, teachers, garbage men, housewives and yes the next president of the United States. Love it or hate it, people like you and the mainstream media can’t paint a picture of that church and the awesome pastors as some handkerchief head negroes and you are pissed. Get over your racist issues and admit, Otis Moss the III is an awesome and prophetic man of God. I wish white people would stop being afraid of educated black powerful men of God.

I’m sure we all understand that the press and news media is out to get our attention and so they run to the inflammatory, sensational, and wild that will roil our passions. May we not fall prey to that ourselves.

I am in total agreement with OMIII and ace, is correct when he/she stated that Jesus displayed His anger and disappointment with people many times in the New Testment. Yes the media is only using small segements of Dr. Wrights sermons in an attempt to derailed Obama. Didi47 is either in denial and has been brainwashed or is white. Didi47 maybe you should read all the histroy and not just current evens. Do you know why Martin Luther King Jr was murder? Because he preached against our segregated nation and against the war in Vietnam. Yet, MLK prayed, hope and worked toward the unity of this nations racisim. I remember riding on the back of the bus and I still struggle for a equality in the workplace. Pejudice has not ended and some white people still don’t want Africian-Americans to suceed and when we do they think it has to be because of some quota or something illegal. My daughter father is white and what I have re-learn over her lifetime (17 years) is few whites have changed their attitudes and beliefs about blacks. I find that very disappointing.

If you are a Christian, Didi, you would understand that the word of God says we are prepositioned, or he knows before it happens who will be placed where and for what reason. In Psalm 139, David speaks passionately about God’s omniscience. If you are not a Christian, understand that I am.

OMIII, has a priority to first unit his flock. As Christians, we also know that Christ did not come into every situation as mild tempered. Observe His actions toward the money changers in the House of the Lord. To expect a preacher of truth to not recognize injustice, disparity, and abuse of power would be expecting him not to stand for what Christ stood. Therefore, it would be impossible to unit the flock, if they didn’t clearly understand what they were uniting against.

OMIII recognizes that those CNN, ABCs, and sly FOX were dissecting Wright for a political agenda. They were not measuring the sum of the man, nor measuring the history of his loyalty to this country; rather they were exploiting the passion that
Wright has to see this country be accountable, and they were exploiting the passion he shows demanding his congregation to expect accountability.

As Christians, we know there is a promise from Christ, that we would face burden
and trials, but as OMIII most eloquently put it, when we are lifted up more visibility is brought to what is truth in our purpose versus the those determined to crucify.

What on earth are you talking about with “God is positioning ..him to unmask the dragon..” Good grief – did you write that phrase to deliberately sound like a ‘threat’??
As for him being a “uniter & unifier”… well I don’t know about that. Claiming Rev. Wright… is being crucified like Jesus… sure sounds inflammatory and very controlling to me! those words alone, are enough to frighten anyone who may disagree with him into silence, wouldn’t you think?

He may be a good financial manager… and may be tuned into the pulse of the youth.. but then again, it’s not really that difficult to rile up ‘youth’ of today – or frankly most people gathered together in a group… and get them all playing the “blame game” is it?

It’s quite another thing to teach and preach about the – unity and brotherhood of our fellow man! And – OMill likening Wright to Jesus Christ – insinuating the “typical white” is the one doing the crucifying…… is just as horrifying as
Wright’s racist – vilifications .. and the damning of the country that has done more to end discrimination, than any other country in the world!

So frankly, this just sounds like another pile of Obama cover up garbage to me!

OMIII,
is the next big thing from the pulpit. He’s already left a legacy in Augusta, Georgia .

He’s proven to be a uniter, without relinquishing his identity or that from which he comes. He’s a brilliant financial manager, teacher and investor. To the first poster, there is no way you bring a church from 150 members to 1500 without planning, targeting and most importantly having the power of the Gospel to motivate. Moss is deftly tuned to the pulse of youth, middle age and seniors. He’s the best of what we have out of a generation that has demanded the baton to finish the race.

Here me now, believe me later, God is positioning OMIII in the forefront because he needs real warriors to unmask the dragon.

Here is the Rev. Moss that I know. Rev. Moss received his BA in Religion and Philosophy from Morehouse College where he served as Student Government President. During his matriculation at “the House,” he was inducted as a Ford Foundation Scholar, named by the NCAA as an All-American Track and Field athlete and graduated with honors.

He continued graduate work at Yale University and was awarded the FTE Benjamin Elijah Mays Scholarship in Religion and the Yale University Magee Fellowship. Rev. Moss is recorded as one of the few African-Americans to ever receive this award in the schools’ 300-year history. Rev. Moss graduated from Yale with a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Ethics and Theology.

I like to start out saying I am impressed with the accomplishments of Otis Moss III,but to me its another case of blacks especially ministers that miss the whole picture when it comes to other blacks.They give these great grandiose speeches how their out to help the brothers and sisters and help them get a better life and then put the icing on the cake and show you the reason for all your suffering is white society and white America.And just like the KKK charge up uneducated blacks to a frenzy so they hate and distrust whites so they can continue to come to their churches provide homes for them, provide anniversary celebrations for them,expensive cars,and whatever else they need to make their life easier.Every Sunday in the black churches ,millions,maybe even billions of dollars are raised that are used to give these “do gooders” of the communities their hypocritical lifestyles of humility while their members struggle to give an honest tithe.With this kind of generation of money there shoudn’t be one black person in America that needs welfare or a helping hand. Jesus the man they serve and pattern their life after fed people provided for the sick and shut in all without any gain for himself.I’m for people helping themselves.I believe that black people are some the hardest working people in America,but how can a people have true freedom,true independence,unless they are taught how.What Mr.Moss should have been doing when he went to Yale is enroll in some program that simplifies how to trade in the stock market or other investment tools so other blacks can be taught and have their own money and not have to depend on any one.This idea would probably work with him and other ministers as a way of additional income.There is no way a person in America will get rich just working,and there is no certainty in selling drugs.So I say to you Otis Moss III “How can we overcome if our “leaders” won’t teach us.”
