Ron & Dennis Dumped!

Ah the hue and cry, the prejudicial decisions, the scapegoat mentality, and the injustices being put upon our fine men who run for the office of president of the United States. Maybe it’s only because they seemingly run every four years with absolutely NO CHANCE of winning. You think maybe? Maybe that’s why Ron and Dennis not only are feeling LEFT OUT, but actually are!

When Fox News hosts its Republican candidates forum Sunday night, one of the leading candidates won’t be invited. Guess who! The Fox debate is excluding Texas Congressman Ron Paul, even though he polls higher in New Hampshire, has raised significantly more money, and is campaigning more in New Hampshire than Fred Thompson — who is invited. The censorship of Paul has infuriated his loyal supporters, who note that he pulled 10 percent of the vote in Iowa, well ahead of Rudy Giuliani, who pulled just over 3 percent. Giuliani has also been invited to the Fox forum.

Now tell me, what’s fair about that?

Then we hear of discrimination on the Democratic side of things as well. Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Friday after ABC News excluded him, fellow Democrat Mike Gravel and Republican Duncan Hunter from today’s debates.

Kucinich said ABC is violating equal-time provisions by keeping him out of the debate. ABC said the candidates left out of the debates failed to meet benchmarks for support outlined to each campaign before the Iowa caucuses. Only, Democrats Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Bill Richardson were invited to the forum. How does a “little guy” get any respect anyway?

But then whoever said politics was either respectful or fair? That’s why it’s called politics! What would be fair if Mike Huckabee, an ex Baptist pastor had to face a billionaire like Michael Bloomberg (which just might be the case).

Maybe Ron and Dennis can find a new way to expressing their views. Maybe they could run for Congress!

Oh wait, they already are Congressmen aren’t they!
