TRUTH or CONSEQUENCES?

Yes it was once a TV program. And yes, it’s the fork in the road facing America today.
Newspapers print headlines that will sell newspapers. CNBC only hawks the good side of stocks because investors don’t want to hear bad news. Corporations “cook” the books because stockholders want positive results. The government manipulates the monthly data so that it will impact voters in a positive fashion.
So, does anyone deal in the TRUTH these days? Is there anyone, any corporation, any entity that I can BELIEVE in? And, don’t tell me it’s the church. I’ve had enough of the “priestly cover-ups” and I’m sure it’s not just limited to the Catholic church either.
How about this thought. Why don’t each of us, individually, just in our own little spheres of influence deal only with the FACTS, and then maybe we could graduate to the TRUTH. Doesn’t everything begin at home, with us? After all, it’s either the TRUTH or we can at some point deal with the CONSEQUENCES! Or is that what we’re now having to contend with from all those past years of lack of truth?
