Turn-Around Tuesday

Gold futures rose sharply Tuesday, boosted by the euro’s surge to a new record high against another record low for the dollar. Gold for December delivery gained $14.00, or 1.7%, at $792 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Other metals prices also posted gains.
