Twenty 12

January 6, 2009

How many different ways can the Mayan Long calendar date be mentioned? It’s known as twenty twelve, 2012, 12.21.2012, December 21, 2012, etc. But, let’s look at just the last half of those four digits and see the interesting things that come from the number TWELVE. The number also called a dozen: the composite number, the smallest number with exactly six divisors, its proper divisors being 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. Enough!

As we head into the year 2012, we might be reminded that in light of all of the electromagnetic prophecies that have been forthcoming that there are in fact twelve electromagnetic groups. And that energetically, the twelve groups directly correspond to the twelve pairs of cranial nerves wherein each group contributes to the “collective mind” of all humanhood.

What’s made this number so fascinating and fundamental throughout history?

There are twelve signs in the zodiac and that we’re entering or have entered the Age of Aquarius plays prominently with many as we move to 2012. The alignments and unique settings that 2012 will present have astrologers and astronomers alike fascinated. With the gravitational and electromagnetic impacts affect us negatively- maybe positively?

Why were there twelve tribes in the Old Testament?

Why do we have twelve tectonic plates and will they be impacted, shift, or radically be altered by the forces that many 2012 theorists predict? I don’t know enough about the twelve acupuncture meridians but I’m sure that there are theories on that as related to 2012 as well.

Maybe we should go with Carl-Johan Calleman’s 2011 date instead. John is an internationally recognized authority in the studies of the Mayan Calendar and he calculates a 2011 date, not 2012. Or, maybe we stick with the majority and that number TWELVE!
