WAS IT FAT TUESDAY OR WHAT?

The world is spiraling out of control, or so it would seem. The polar ice caps are melting, bird flu is spreading, Iran is building a nuclear capability so they can destroy Israel, and Iraq seems to be headed to total anarchy. But, fear not! We live in America where there are BIGGER fish to fry.

Down in New Orleans where the police force barely exists, where they are letting people out of jail because they have no money, where 75% of the city is deserted, and where we’re much closer now to the hurricane season of ’06, it’s Mardi Gras time. Party hardy!

But no state is going to upstage the Federal government. So on Fat Tuesday, the USSC was hearing the Anna Nicole Smith case. The ex-playmate wants some of her late husband’s $1.6 BILLION estate. Husband? You have to wonder how it is that such a case can get to the highest court in the land. But, if New Orleans can party the night away in the midst of their situation I guess anything can happen.

Maybe Nagin can even get reelected next month!
